Teaching with Digital Technology: Using Google Classroom for Your Optimal Online Learning

Answering the challenges of online learning, is a very difficult challenge for everyone, especially educators as an effort to continue to advance our education. Seeing many educators experiencing difficulties in this situation, Fatih Bilingual School held a seminar on online learning every Friday at 2 p.m. 

This seminar is open to the public especially for elementary-high school teachers who want to find out how to optimize online learning. This seminar is titled “Using Google Classroom for Your Optimal Online Learning” and delivered by our teacher, Mr. Fiki Nugraha.

During the seminar Mr. Fiki explained how to start a virtual classroom using the Google classroom platform, the functions of its features and evaluation through this platform to support teaching-learning activity effectively. After explaining the material and there was also a QnA session. The seminar lasted for 1 hour, attended by around 70 participants. 

Mr. Fiki said this program is very useful and especially for educators in the province of Aceh and in Indonesia. Because considering the current pandemic condition requires schools to be closed while there is still half a semester of material left to complete, so online or online learning can be an option for continuing school activities.

He also said that this program was prepared very well as a form of FBS concern in facing the current pandemic situation. However, Fatih teachers are ready to share their experiences in the use of technology in learning that they have applied since this school year began.

“I hope that there will be more participants from outside, especially educators from Aceh and surrounding areas. Because this is a good opportunity to continue to support learning even though we are in this difficult time and do not know how long this condition will end therefore, the readiness of educators to face challenges like this is needed”, He said.

“Hopefully this program can be supported by the Aceh Education Office and motivate the teachers in Aceh to participate and share with friends and relatives. Because this is a good opportunity”, He added.
