Teaching with Digital Technology “Online Formative Assessment Using Edcite.com”

Fatih Bilingual School continues to support all teachers in Indonesia to educate and teach students. The purpose of teaching with digital technology seminar is to share on how to take advantage of current technology to keep teaching even if schools are closed. Not only how to teach using technology but also how to make this virtual classroom more effective, such as by making an online formative assessment using Edcite.com with Mr. Iqbal as one of FBS teachers. This seminar was excellent to help educators especially in making formative online assessments so that there would be direct interaction and feedback between educators and students. 

In this seminar the speaker explained edcite.com as a web-based formative assessment online platform, the examples of other online platforms that can be used as formative assessments, and building assignments, doing assessments, and reading student reports on edcite.com.

“There were many participants who took part in this seminar and it was captivating because there was a Q&A session about 15 minutes. The participants were also invited to answer a few questions on Edcite.com, so they could find out the type of questions they could use later when making formative assessments”, said Mr. Iqbal.

He hoped that the number of participants will increase, especially teachers so that they could apply this in their online teaching activities, and He also hoped that there will be a collaboration with education authorities in the future for this program.
