Fatih Bilingual School Marked Mawlid Nabi Muhammad with Islamic Competitions

Held to commemorate mawlid Nabi or the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad, a day of spiritual significance in Islam, Fatih Bilingual School middle-high students celebrated this day with several competitions on Friday, 22 November 2019. This activity took place at the Audio-Visual room at Fatih Bilingual School from 4 P.m – 6 P.m.

The purpose of this activity was to invite Fatih Bilingual School’s family; students, teachers, and staff to strengthen love for the prophet as the role model of Moslem people, and to increase the spirit of competitiveness through series competitions.

The theme for this mawlid day celebration was longing and love for the Prophet. There are several Islamic competitions to enliven Mawlidu Rosul day such as nasheed, calligraphy, adhan, memorizing hadith, writing and reading poetry.

Mr. Rafsanjani as the student council supervisor said that the committee and participants were enthusiastic about participating in this program and it was running smoothly and actually this event was one of Mawlid programs because there were still other activities, such as Islamic contests for external people, charity, and picnics with orphans.

“Hopefully through these competitions, we can come back to remember who and how a Prophet Muhammad SAW so that we can take examples and inspiration for our lives,” He added.
