Charity for Orphans

Fatih Bilingual School held market day which started on 7th October- 5th November 2019 at Fatih Bilingual School. Market day for orphans is a program to train social care, in addition, students were trained to learn about charity. The purpose of the market day is to foster a sense of caring for others and teaching students to share. The donation will be distributed to orphans and orphanages.

Mrs. Fitri as the elementary teacher said the children were very enthusiastic about selling their food and drinks. All the children were very happy, and hopefully, they can continue donating.

This bazaar was done by all of Fatih Bilingual School Family including Elementary – High school students, moms club, administration, dormitory, and teachers. The donations given to orphans is a package of daily needs. It costs Rp. 250.000 /package and for Rp. 300.000/package plus a picnic with orphans.

Giving charity is not just a kind gesture, it is also a highly rewarding deed in Islam and a true act of compassion. Charity for orphans is deeply loved and highly preached deed by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Allah said in the Quran “If you will give charity openly it would be a good deed. However, if you would give it to poor or needy people secretly, it will be better for you and he (Allah SWT) will remove some of your sins. Allah (SAW) is aware of what you do so giving charity secretly would be noticed and rewarded in the hereafter. (Qur’an 2:271).
