Fatih Bilingual School Students Won Bronze Medal at SIIF (Seoul International Invention Fair)

Fatih Bilingual School students competed at SIIF (Seoul International Invention Fair) with an innovation project titled ‘Moss as a Substitute for the Main Substance in Deodorant’, on 27th -30th November 2019 in Seoul, South Korea.

They are Aqil Naufal Syahrul and Muhammad Syafiq Akbar. In this competition, they competed with competitors from more than 27 countries around the world such as Bahrain, Bangladesh, China, Croatia, France, United Kingdom, United States, Iran, South Korea, Kuwait, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nigeria, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia , Taiwan, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, and Indonesia.

SIIF (Seoul International Invention Fair) is an annual exhibition and innovation program of discovery and innovation organized by KIPA (Korea Invention Promotion Association) which is participated by college students and high school students from various countries.

Aqil and Syafiq managed to snatch bronze medal as well as received a Special Award from the NRCT (National Research Council of Thailand) for their research project after a long struggle. They claimed that this research project had been prepared since October 2018 or a year ago.

“I’m very proud of this achievement and I hope that their passion in the research field can be pursued further at the university level and keep working to provide new innovations, especially for our beloved country, Indonesia,” said Mr. Manda as a Chemistry teacher.

He planned to get more students to attend to other national and international project competitions more often by optimizing each team project.

“Hopefully with these achievements, other FRESH JET (Fatih Research and Project Team) members, can be more motivated,” He added.

Before participating in this competition, they also participated in Advanced Innovation Global Competition (AIGC) and got a silver medal.
